In addition to the Hot Springs Village nature trails, both the Ouachita National Forest and Hot Springs National Park offer an abundance of paths perfect for hiking and mountain biking. In fact, Hot Springs has two of the three IMBA epic trails found in Arkansas – the Womble Epic and the Ouachita National Recreation Trail, (the International Mountain Bicycling Association uses the Epic® designation to identify the best mountain biking trails in the region).
Lakes, Beaches & Water Sports:
Lake Ouachita, famous for its pristine water and scenic beauty, is the largest lake in the state and one of our closet neighbors with boating, fishing, paddle boarding, spear fishing, scuba diving and camping. The lake has rugged shoreline with lots of islands and hidden coves and is a favorite for bass fishing.
Hot Springs Village has 11 recreation lakes, two-full service marinas and three beaches. Enjoy an afternoon water skiing, kayaking, fishing, sunbathing or simply gather for a lunch in a lakeside pavilion. Waypoint Marina on DeSoto Lake offers snorkel gear, paddle boards and kayaks for rent. Balboa Marina offers boat rentals, snacks, refreshments and a new Tiki bar.
Dining, Entertainment & Shopping:
Hot Springs Village proper has more than 20 restaurants; choose from American, Chinese, Italian, Mexican and specialty or drive to a nearby city (Little Rock, Benton, Bryant or Hot Springs) to explore their numerous dining venues from five star to casual restaurants and popular food chains.
Book a Broadway-style show at the Woodlands Auditorium in Hot Springs Village or venture out to enjoy an abundance of shopping, arts and culture, and historical attractions in Hot Springs and Little Rock including the downtown River Market.
Hot Springs Village has always been a golfer’s destination, and now to keep its golf program at the top of its game, HSV recently teamed with Troon Golf, the industry’s leader in upscale golf courses. As one of the newest additions to the Troon family of golf destination, Hot Springs Village delivers an exceptional golf experience!
